    Monenco Iran Establishment

    Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers was founded in 1973 as joint venture between private sector of Iran and Montreal Engineering Co. of Canada and started its activity concentrating in electrical industry of Iran.

  • 1980

    Monenco Iran after Revoulution

    In 1980 Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers established Ghods Niroo and cooperation with Monenco Agra was terminated.

  • 1991

    Partnership of the Government of Iran and Monenco Agra of Canada

    In 1991 Monenco Iran continued its activities by partnership of the Government of Iran and then Monenco Agra of Canada.

  •  1997

    Monenco Iran, Mapna Group and AMEC

    In 1997 Mapna Co., one of the largest contractors and main constructor of the thermal power plants, and AMEC Foster Wheeler, One of the largest engineering and contracting companies active in energy field in England, became main shareholders of Monenco Iran by buying respectively shares of government of Iran and Monenco Agra and since then Monenco Iran has been the engineering wing of Mapna Group.

    Mapna Group and AMEC, the Shareholders of Monenco Iran

    From 1999 until now, Mapna Group, AMEC Foster Wheeler and MIR (belonging to the staff), are the main shareholders of this company during this time. Monenco Iran’s fields of activities extended and the company has been also active in oil, gas and petrochemical industry, electrical railway, telecommunication and dispatching and Mining in Iran and abroad..

    Entering into Oil & Gas Market

    Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers was successful to expand its services in new target market; Oil & Gas.

  • 2007

    Monenco Iran outside of Iran

    Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers was awarded the projects in Syria for power plant design, engineering and site supervision services.

  • 2008

    2008

    Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers entered into the field of "system and Energy Study" in order to perform system studies in the field of power production, transmission and distribution of electrical energy as well as energy consultancy to large industries and electrical railways.

  • 2010

    Establishment of Monenco Oman

    Consulting Engineers (MCE) in Oman was established as a hub in the Middle East to better manage and supervise the projects awarded in the region.

  • 2011

    Establishment of Monenco Nigeria

    Iran Consulting Engineers as the only consultant engineering company among 400 economic giants, ranked by IMI-100 Monenco Engineering Limited (MEL) was registered in Nigeria

  • 2012

    Monenco Iran Presence in Overseaes

    Ranked 144th consulting firm among the top 200 international design and consulting firms worldwide as stated by ENR. Monenco was successful to enter Oil & Gas market of Bangladesh. Also expanded its services In Renewable field; - Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers finished the site surveys of 250 MW wind farms, and started the commissioning of the first 50 MW farm with 2.5 wind turbines. - Also did a significant progress in CSP (Concentrated Solar Plant) design in Yazd province in Iran which is the first in this kind of plant in the region.

  • 2013

    Monenco Iran Enter into New Fields

    Expanded it’s scope of services to the new fields including water and gas pipelines, Urban Trains Stations and Tunnel, High-speed Railways and Metro and petrochemical industry.

  • 2014

    Monenco Iran Expanded its Activities

    In Oman, Monenco was successful to enter the Water Distribution sector. Also, expanded its range of services across Iran market by entering into the new target markets such as Fixed & Mobile Network Operators, Urban Water & Wastewater Telemetry Master Planning and Petrochemical Capacity Development.

  • 2015

    Monenco Iran Enter into New Sectors

    Monenco entered into telecommunication sector of Oman. Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers expanded the range of services across Iran market by entering into new target market such as Repowering and Market Analysis, Investment & Management Consultancy. In order to penetrate and develop in domestic market, Monenco established an office in Kermanshah Province. Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers expanded its services in several major countries including Uganda, Kenya, Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic, and Armenia.

  • 2016

    Monenco Germany Establishment

    Monenco registered company in Germany (Monenco Germany) which will enable Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers to grow our market penetration in the CIS and European markets. Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers expanded its strategic partnership agreements with well-known international companies in different fields for service agreements, knowhow knowledge and talent pool. Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers was ranked among the Top 500 Iranian Companies by IMI-100 ranking.

  • 2017

    Entry into the International Electricity Tariff Market

    Monenco Iran Company, relying on its technical knowledge and using past experiences in the field of tariff setting in the electricity industry, was able to enter the tariff setting market in African countries in 2017. This was the first international project of this consulting engineering company in the field of tariff setting in the Kenyan electricity industry, which was carried out with the financial support of the World Bank.

  • 2019

    Entry into the Field of Smart City and E-Health

    In 2019, this consulting engineering company, alongside domestic and international consulting companies in the field of smart city and information and communication technology, successfully entered the fields of smart city and e-health by securing several projects.

  • 2020

    Monenco Iran Expanded its Activities

    With the aim of developing its activities in Central Asia, Monenco Iran established branches in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in 2019.

  • 2021

    Establishment of the Kenya Branch

    Monenco Iran established a branch in Kenya with the aim of developing its activities in the east of the African continent.

  • 2022

    Monenco Iran Presence in Pakistan

    These consulting engineers succeeded in developing their engineering consulting services in Pakistan.

  • 2023

    Establishment of the Ethiopia Branch

    Monaco Iran succeeded in developing its engineering consulting services in Cameroon and Ethiopia.
